Boundary Layer Wind Tunnels

The words “boundary layer” are used to describe the layer of fluid flow which is closest to fixed objects. Boundary Layer Wind Tunnels are traditionally used by industrial designers and engineers to measure the effects of wind on buildings, structures and vehicles close to ground level. These tunnels typically accommodate building models, skyline models, or other complex structures with configurable ground terrain and longer air circuits to ensure development of a deep boundary layer.
